Cell Phones for deforestation

Post by Eric »

Saw this TED talk and had me a bit intrigued. We could likely do something simpler and cheaper than the cell phone approach though but this is a great start. It also crosses over into just about every area of security nicely as well.

Wow this is brilliant. I mean its simple, but its one of those problems you really cant grasp until you get there. I know for a fact that I've got 2 or 3 cell phones sitting in the drawer next to me, and a 6v 5w solar panel not far from my desk. Its a simple solution, but sometimes those are the best.
I make things, I break things, and cause all around chaos.

That is an super awesome idea, back home Australia we have so many phones going into landfill, going to tell all the family to hold on to the old phones now.
